Beachcroft Terms & Conditions
These Terms are applicable to all Contracts of any kind made by Beachcroft Coastal Retreat (Beachcroft) and its guests ("the Guests") and apply to all reservations, bookings and agreements for accommodation, dining, function room hire and use of all facilities at Beachcroft
Guests are invited to read these provisions and note their responsibilities, arrangements for payments, cancellation terms and limitations on the liability of Beachcroft. The Contract is conditional on the payment of the Deposit.
All rates quoted are per room per night, are subject to availability and include parking, breakfast and all taxes. Rates quoted cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or promotion.
A non refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your room. Your booking will then be confirmed in writing by Beachcroft, and the deposit payment will be acknowledged. A confirmed booking is only made on acceptance of the Deposit payment. The Deposit may be paid by Credit Card or Cash. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Sorry we do not accept American Express or Dinners cards. Credit Card transactions will incur a 2% surcharge.
In the event of cancellation a minimum notice period of 28 days must be given by the Guest. In such a case the Guest will forfeit their deposit. Should less than 28 days notice be given then Beachcroft will make all reasonable efforts to re-let the accommodation, but if this fails, the Guest will be liable for an amount equal to 75% of the booking value. Where credit card details have been provided by the Guest for payment of the Deposit, Beachcroft may debit the Guest’s credit card with the balance due. You are strongly recommended to obtain travel insurance against cancellation. Beachcroft reserves the right to cancel a booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any cause beyond its control which prevents it from performing its obligations relating to any booking, and will refund the Deposit in full and have no further liability.
Arrival and Departure
Check in is between 4.00pm and 6.00pm on the day of arrival, and every effort will be made to have rooms ready for occupation by that time. Guests are asked to vacate their room by 11.00am on the day of departure, otherwise a further full day's rate may be charged.
Children and Pets
Beachcroft is unable to accommodate children below the age of ten years, unless by prior agreement. Beachcroft does not have the facilities to accommodate pets. Where children are permitted on the premises any child under the age of sixteen years must be properly supervised at all times, and under no circumstances, including negligence, will Beachcroft be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages and expenses whatsoever in any matter relating to the children whilst they are on Beachcrofts' premises. If children arrive at Beachcroft without proper supervision then Beachcroft reserves the right to refuse them access until such time as Beachcroft considers proper supervision has been provided.
Health and Safety
Beachcroft is a totally non-smoking establishment, and this extends to all areas and all rooms including Bedrooms, En-suites, Patio and Gardens. Guests are respectfully requested to observe this condition. Beachcroft reserves the right to terminate this contract forthwith and ask Guests that disregard this policy to leave the premises. Any guest found smoking in the bedrooms, will automatically be charged a £100 room recovery fee.
Without prejudice to the aforementioned, when entering into this contract, you specifically accept liability for any damage caused to persons or property through smoking on any part of the Beachcroft premises. Under no circumstances should candles or incense be burned in any of the bedrooms or ground floor guest areas.
We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered / interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the Beachcroft, including detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and additionally may be asked to leave the hotel.
No Guest shall arrange for the delivery of or deliver any goods or material to Beachcroft without prior arrangement with the proprietors. Under no circumstances should guests No Guest shall store or place on the perimeter of or in Beachcroft any inflammable, combustible or objectionable substances or liquid.
Car parking is provided for Guests in the car park at the front of the premises. Further parking is available at the side of Beachcroft by prior arrangement. Beachcroft does not accept any responsibility for damage or theft of vehicles or their contents whilst parked in the Beachcroft car park.
In some public areas of Beachcroft and some staff areas CCTV is in operation and video recordings may be made. This activity is carried out for security and service reasons for the better management of Beachcroft and security for all its Guests and staff.
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to Beachcroft or other supplier. Beachcroft reserves the right at any time to terminate your stay or that of any member of your party due to misconduct, where justified in their reasonable opinion. No refunds will be given. Furthermore, Beachcroft shall not be under any obligation whatsoever to pay compensation or meet any costs or expenses you may incur as a result of your stay being terminated.
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to Beachcroft's property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.
Should any guest lose any belongings during their stay or incur damage to their property, the provision of the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956 will apply. If we find any lost property, we will make every reasonable effort to locate the owner and return it, but if we cannot locate the owner and an item is not reclaimed with 3 months of the guest’s departure it will be disposed of by the hotel
Access and Special Needs
All of Beachcrofts' accommodation is at first floor level and as such we cannot accommodate wheelchair users for an overnight stay. We do however have wheelchair access to the ground floor public rooms and can accommodate less able friends or family who wish to visit resident guests.
If you have any special request, you must advise us at the time of booking. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect your booking, please tell us before you confirm your booking so that we can advise as to the suitability of the chosen arrangements. In any event, you must give full details in writing at the time of booking.
